White supremacy

White Supremacy is an off-shoot of ethnocentrism that is similar to racial supremacy. It is a subgroup of white nationalism whose political ideology is derived from National Socialism and social Darwinism. The term ‘white supremacy’ was used to categorize ideologies that judge another group of people or race that are relative to a specific ethnic group or culture that is not white. Basically, these judgments are based on the difference in language, customs, traditions, skin color and its physical attribute, behavior and religion.

White supremacy

The ideology behind white supremacy became a catalyst for several hate groups and racist organizations to emerge in history. He greatest supporters of white supremacy came from the Germanic and Nordic descent and group of people (i.e. Germans, Anglo or English, Scandinavians and Dutch) and the most famous movement of the 20th century was the German Nazi Movement. Adolf Hitler, an Austrian born German Fuhrer, headed the Nazi Movement based on the white supremacy ideology. At the even of World War II, the Nazi has swarmed across Europe, advocating the Aryan Brotherhood, preaching that the white race is superior to other races. They went on to subjugate the Jews, non-white races and democracy.

In the United States, the most predominant and often notorious group of white supremacists is the Ku Klux Klan. Also known as KKK and informally called The Klan, the Ku Klux Klan is one of America’s most infamous local terrorist organizations. KKK is a right-wing extremist organization that spanned more than a century of advocating white supremacy, white nationalist and racial segregation.
